The next Fast and Furious sequel is officially confirmed. Fast Forever is set to hit cinemas on Friday, March 17, 2028.
Universal Pictures has finally locked in a release date for the long-delayed 11th and possibly final instalment of the blockbuster franchise. The film had stalled in pre-production amid budget concerns, an unfinished script, and unresolved cast deals, with reports suggesting the studio pushed for significant cost cuts before moving forward.
The sequel was originally expected to arrive in 2025, following 2023’s Fast X, which earned $705 million globally but marked the franchise’s lowest box office performance in over a decade. Fast Forever will now arrive five years after its predecessor.
Vin Diesel confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of Dom Toretto alongside Brian O’Conner and writing, “No one said the road would be easy… but it’s ours. A legacy… lasts forever.”
