Bad Bunny Named Billboard’s #1 Popstar of 2025

Music outlet Billboard has officially named Bad Bunny the Greatest Pop Star of 2025, just days ahead of his highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime debut.

The title, awarded by Billboard’s editorial team, was based on audience reach, cultural impact, and key music metrics. Entering 2025 with three Billboard No. 1 albums, record-breaking tours, and a legacy-defining Coachella headline under his belt, Bad Bunny was already one of the most influential artists of his generation.

It was his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, that sealed the moment. A quiet release that grew organically, the project became a global touchstone, praised by critics and topping Billboard’s Best Albums of 2025 list.

Now, as the first all-Spanish-language solo artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show on February 8, Bad Bunny continues to shift the global pop landscape.

He heads into this Sunday’s Grammys with five nominations, including Album of the Year and Song and Record of the Year, validating his Greatest Pop Star of 2025 title.
