Grammy Week 2026 is already giving main character energy, and three music legends are about to get their flowers in a big way!
Pharrell Williams, Brandy, and Kirk Franklin will be honourees at the fourth annual Recording Academy Honors tomorrow (January 29) at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
Pharrell will receive the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award for his influence across music, culture, fashion, film, and philanthropy.
While Brandy and Kirk Franklin will both be presented with the Black Music Icon Award, recognising careers that have shaped generations, from Brandy’s 90s breakout and crossover success to Franklin’s transformative impact on contemporary gospel.
Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. hailed the trio as visionaries whose legacies transcend genre and culture.
The event is part of official Grammy Week celebrations leading up to the 2026 Grammy Awards on February 1 at Crypto.com Arena.
