Venus Williams Will Become The Oldest Woman to Play in the Australian Open

45-year-old tennis legend, Venus Williams, will become the oldest woman to play in the Australian Open main draw after receiving a wildcard for the tournament starting 18 January, surpassing Kimiko Date.

She will also compete in the Hobart International warm-up event from 12 January, joining Emma Radu-cah-nu.

Williams, a two-time Australian Open runner-up, said she is grateful for the chance to return to a tournament that has been pivotal in her career.
