When Popcaan's second studio album, Forever, was released in 2018, the single Silence quickly stood out as a favourite track. This year, the song achieved a 100million milestone in views on video-sharing platform YouTube.
Back then, Unruly fans had immediately identified with Silence's themes of family and trust in now iconic lyrics like "So hard fi trust your enemy, hard fi trust your friend/Mi love mi family but mi no trust the whole a dem" and "Some of dem heart filled with grudge/My thugs are the realest thugs/And my heart clean, filled with love/And mi meditation sharp like studs". Along with other standout songs on the album, such as Firm and Strong and Dun Rich featuring Afro artist Davido, the album peaked at #2 on Billboard's Reggae Albums charts and debuted at #171 on Billboard's Top 200 charts.
Popcaan celebrated the news on his Instagram with clips from the music video and a caption that read: "Respect to my fans for giving me 100mil views on silence🙏🏿 Thank you all. Dreskull we made a banger without a doubt! #unruly".
