The Jamaica Strong Benefit Concert, held last Friday at UBS Arena in Queens, New York, delivered a powerful night of unity and musical excellence, drawing a near-capacity crowd in support of Jamaican and Caribbean culture.
From early performances by Yaksta and Abby Dallas, the tone was set for an evening filled with standout moments across Reggae, Dancehall, and Soca.
Richie Stephens earned one of the loudest ovations with classics like Trying To Get Close To You and a moving rendition of A Change Is Gonna Come.
Strong sets also came from Mikey Spice, Maxi Priest, Inner Circle, Gramps Morgan with his sons, Tessanne Chin, Marcia Griffiths, Aidonia, and Soca star Kes, who transformed the arena into a Caribbean fête.
Headliners Shaggy and Sean Paul closed the night with hit packed performances before all artistes returned to the stage for a moving rendition of the Jamaican National Anthem, joined by cultural and political leaders.
The event, streamed live to more than one million viewers within 24 hours, was widely praised as a memorable celebration of Caribbean music, heritage, and resilience.
