The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has given an update on the condition of Miss Jamaica Dr. Gabrielle Henry, who fell off the stage during the preliminary evening gown round at Miss Universe on Nov. 19.
The pageant posted a press release on behalf of itself and Henry's family to clarify the situation and provide further insight into how she is doing now.
In previous updates, the MUO, the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization and Henry's sister disclosed that she was hospitalized in the intensive care unit for several days after the fall.
The newest statement says "Dr. Henry suffered a serious fall through an opening on the stage while performing her walk during the preliminary competition on November 19, 2025, resulting in an intracranial hemorrhage with loss of consciousness, a fracture, facial lacerations and other significant injuries".
Further it says "Dr. Henry was immediately admitted to intensive care in Bangkok, where she remained in critical condition under constant neurological monitoring, and continues to require 24-hour specialist supervision."
Henry is set to return home to Jamaica "in the coming days," and she will be "accompanied by a full medical escort team and will be transferred directly to [the] hospital for continued treatment and recovery."
The update went on to claim that the MUO has covered Henry's "hospital, medical, and rehabilitation expenses" while she was under care in Thailand.
The international pageant also claimed that it provided funds for Henry's mother and sister's "accommodation and living costs" during their stay in Thailand as Henry recovered.
