Reggae Singer Christopher Martin suffered a fall during his performance in Freetown Sierra Leone on Friday.

The event,  One Nation Reggae Festival brings together top local artists and members of the Reggae Union with international stars including Sizzla Kalonji, Christopher Martin, Queen Ifrica, Jah Thunder and others.

In a statement on social media, Christopher noted "there were some technical issues on stage that led to a very unfortunate situation". He however reassured fans that he's "okay and recovering well".

He thanked the country's tourism minister as well as those who "reached out with prayers and positivity".

The One Nation Reggae festival concludes today with an All-White Heritage Celebration, honouring shared histories and cultural connections across the Atlantic.

Organisers say the festival aims to strengthen artistic collaboration, celebrate identity and deepen cultural bonds between Sierra Leone and the Caribbean through music, memory and heritage.
