Miss Universe Organisation has released a statement providing clarity and to address speculation surrounding Miss Universe Jamaica, Dr. Gabriel Henry who's currently undergoing treatment in Thailand.
The contestant experienced a fall from the main stage during the evening gown round of the preliminary competition, ahead of the Miss Universe Finals.
In a statement issued to the media today, the organisation noted that action was taken immediately after the incident to ensure her safety and well-being.
It says specific details on Gabriel's medical status should be communicated only at the appropriate time and solely at the family's discretion or if Dr. henry chooses to do so.
The Miss Universe organisation further stated that it has assumed 100% of all related expenses including those of Dr. Henry's family.
The past couple of days has been difficult, the organisation noted, adding that with the excellent medical care provided, the latest medical report confirms that Dr. Gabriel Henry is in good health and is now close to being released from hospital.
