The Minister of Culture, Entertainment & Sport, Olivia 'Babsy' grange, says her ministry will be leading a series of fundraising concerts on the island and across the world to support Jamaica, in the aftermath of hurricane Melissa.
According to the Minister, first concert series, dubbed 'Jamaica Love', would feature some of the island's best artistes as well as friends of Jamaica with all proceeds going towards the national recovery programme.
In a statement Minister Grange noted that 'we face face a long and challenging road ahead but expressed confidence that we'll recover and rebuild stronger with support and by working together'.
The first Jamaica concert is scheduled to place November 14 at the National Stadium Car park in kingston. Details of the other concerts will be announced at a later date.
The concert series is part of a wider programme being led by the Ministry to build morale, lift the national spirit and encourage volunteerism for the long recovery.
