Dancehall veteran, Mavado's son, Dantay Brooks, has been arrested... again.
Just a week after Mavado returned to Jamaica after an almost seven-year hiatus, the crooner's son was slapped with four charges.
Brooks has been charged with assault, unlawful wounding, illegal possession of a firearm, and using a prohibited weapon to commit a scheduled offence.
According to police, Brooks was held after the beating of a victim called "Hardy", where a gun was involved in the incident.
The incident took place in Cassava Piece, Mavado's hometown.
Three men were detained, while one of the co-accused is currently being represented by Christian Tavares-Finson.
Dantay Brooks was released in March of this year, after his 2021 murder conviction for the 2018 killing of Lorenzo Thomas in Cassava Piece was overturned.
