American R&B singer Chris Brown is often compared to Michael Jackson due to his exceptional singing and dancing skills. Since his debut, the 35-year-old singer has frequently faced these comparisons.
Though Brown often credits his style and influence to Michael Jackson, he firmly believes he is nowhere near the "Beat It" singer, who passed away in 2009.
In a recent interview with American broadcaster Stephen A. Smith, R&B singer Tank stirred controversy by claiming that Chris Brown is better than Michael Jackson.
“If we are talking about Chris Brown, we are talking about the evolution of Michael Jackson, Usher, me, and Ginuwine,” Tank said. He stood by his statement, even though Stephen A. disagreed with him. Tank doubled down by saying, "Chris Brown is, in fact, better than Michael Jackson."
However, C Breezy was not having it! Brown has long been fighting the claims and has addressed them several times. In response, Brown shared a clip of an interview he did in 2022 with Big Boy discussing this topic. In the interview, "I stay...out of it. Like, I kind of back off it. My personal take on is like I wouldn't even be breathing or even being able to sing a song if that man didn't exist.” In the interview, Brown emphasised that Michael Jackson was “light years ahead,” making any competition between them impossible.
