Police Commissioner, Dr. Kevin Blake says investigators are following strong leads in the probe of the mass shooting in Commodore, St. Catherine on Sunday.
Giving an update to Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness while touring the community yesterday, Dr. Blake said those responsible will be brought to justice swiftly, saying ongoing investigations revealed that the mass shooting is a reprisal attack, stemming from an incident two years ago.
The Prime Minister went on to assure citizens that heavy security presence will be maintained on a long terms basis in Commodore, St. Catherine, to prevent any retaliation following Sunday’s mass shooting.
Dr. Holness also urged citizens who may have information to contact the police, maintaining that though the government invests millions to fight crime, collaboration from citizens is vital.
