Surprise, surprise, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are at it again!
The beef? Over Billboard chart numbers.
Yesterday (September 29), the news broke that Cardi B's new album, "Am I The Drama?" debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 with over 200k units in streams and sales.
Nicki Minaj fans were quick to point out that Pink Friday 2, Minaj's most recent album in 2023, was bigger with 228k units, which is the largest first-week sales for a female album this decade.
The "Queen of the Barbz" reposted, tweeted, then deleted the post "4.99", which would imply that Cardi sold her album at a discount.
The "Harajuku Barbie" then shared a mock rap verse before deleting it, taking shots at Cardi
"Abcdefgeeeeee/ SUR GER REEE TO LOOK LIKE MEEEEE... Fallin off the charts wit a big belly...".
The tweet implied that Cardi was trying to look like Minaj.
Cardi B was not having it! She fired back on X (formerly Twitter), "You must've missed me huh crazy?? Now kiss my feet" before calling Minaj a "Cocaine Barbie" and dropping a little diss of her own. Shading Nicki's husband and brother, whose names are linked to sexual charges.
Cardi then took it up a notch by sharing an edited mugshot of Nicki's brother with a pink wig on his head. Her brother was charged in 2020 for sexually assaulting a child.
The "WAP" singer retaliated again by urging the "Pink Barbie" star to focus on her sales, which are lower than other stars from her era.
The two rappers have been at odds since 2017.
