Taylor Swift will reportedly not be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show after the NFL declined her requested terms.
Her team sought conditions that reflected her global stature, including ownership of her performance and promotional opportunities for her projects.
The NFL, however, maintains a long-standing policy of not paying halftime performers, viewing the exposure to over 100 million viewers as sufficient compensation.
While many artists accept this tradeoff, insiders say Swift, whose Eras Tour has already broken records worldwide, found the platform alone insufficient without control over her show.
With Swift out, the NFL is exploring other options, with Adele reportedly in discussions to headline and Miley Cyrus also mentioned as a potential contender.
