Lyles, Jefferson-Wooden Secure More Gold In Tokyo

Noah Lyles 19.52sec led his to secure gold in the men's 200m final at the world athletics championships in Tokyo, Japan.

He raised four fingers as he crossed the finish line to win his fourth world championship gold in this event, matching Usain Bolt’s record.

His teammate Kenny Bednarek took silver in 19.58 while the young Jamaican Bryan Levell wopped bronze with a personal best, 19.64

It is also a great run from Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes with a season best of 19.78sec to finish fifth.

IN THE WOMEN'S EQUIVALENT  American Melissa Jefferson-Wooden ran a world leading time 21.68, a deserved gold after being the best sprinter in the world this year.

And Britain's Amy Hunt surged beyond the Jamaican bronze medal winner Shericka Jackson, to take the silver in 22.14.

Shericka Jackson's bronze was secured in a time of 22.18.
