Former Miss Universe Jamaica Davina Bennett expresses gratitude for being alive, following car accident in New York.
In a post on her Instagram today (Sept.14), Bennett recalled the moments leading up to the accident.
She said that as she "walked into her neighbourhood, off the train and just minutes from home, she stopped at a pedestrian crossing."
She noted that she "pressed the walk signal button, put one AirPod in my ear, and when the signal came to walk, she stepped off the curb, and was hit".
She was spared major injuries.
Bennett, however noted, that due to severe pain, This might be the end of her first fashion week.
