R&B singer Ciara is praising her husband, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, for saving a young cancer patient.
Ciara, who is currently on a promo run for her recently released album, CiCi, stopped by Power 106 Los Angeles on Wednesday and discussed her family, album and her and Russell's Why Not You foundation.
According to Ciara, 19-year-old Milton Wright had just 12 hours to live, but Wilson convinced him to try stem cell therapy by sharing his own story of losing his father.
Wright survived and now encourages other children with cancer to consider the treatment.
CiCi described it as a blessing and highlighted the work she and Wilson do through their Why Not You Foundation, helping kids achieve their dreams.
Wilson first wrote about Wright’s courage in a 2016 Players Tribune article, calling him “amazing” and sharing the life-changing moment that inspired his recovery.
Ciara dropped her eighth (8th) studio album called "CiCi" on August 22 and is currently doing her press tour.
