Grammy-nominated reggae artist Jesse Royal has announced that his new album "NOPLACELIKEHOME" will drop this Friday, just days after he survived a life-threatening car accident.
In an emotional Instagram post, Royal reflected on the fragility of life, writing, “Everything can change in the blink of an eye!!!” He credited bystanders, first responders, and doctors at the University Hospital of the West Indies for aiding his recovery, while also thanking his family for their support.
Royal said the incident reminded him not to delay the project any longer. “I’ve been ‘nursing’ this project for far tooo long and this has inspired me to drop it now!!!” he shared.
Produced by his own label, Royal Music, and distributed by Easy Star Records, the album includes collaborations with singers such as Vybz Kartel, Stonebwoy, Protoje, and Samory I.
