American rapper, Soulja Boy, was arrested early yesterday (August 3) in Los Angeles for allegedly being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
The 35-year-old was taken into custody after a traffic stop and later booked at LAPD’s Wilshire Division.
The arrest follows ongoing legal issues. In April, a jury ordered him to pay over $4 million after finding him liable for sexually assaulting and abusing a former assistant. The "Crank That" singer also lost a separate assault case in 2023 involving his ex-girlfriend.
His legal team plans to appeal the rulings.
