Congratulations are in order for our fave "Jamerican" rapper, Busta Rhymes!
Busta Rhymes will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this Friday (August 1) in Los Angeles.
The ceremony, which will be hosted by radio legend Big Boy, will feature guest speakers LL Cool J, Chris Rock, and Chuck D and will be livestreamed on the Walk of Fame website.
This morning (July 29), the "Break Ya Neck" artiste sat down with CBS Morning. He said, “Thirty-five years of professional recording is a long earning of my rite to passage. I’m just glad they decided it’s time for me. Everything is divine timing. For me, the longer that you waited, the longer that my speech is gonna be.”
The hip-hop icon is also set to release his 12th album, Vengeance, in September and will appear in the Naked Gun reboot hitting theatres the same day as the ceremony.
Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez praised Busta as “one of hip-hop’s most electrifying voices,” whose star will mark his lasting impact on American culture.
