Ballaz Academy’s U-12s Head To Spain For Prestigious Youth Football Tournament

Share

Ballaz Academy’s Under-12 team is set to depart Jamaica on Friday for Benidorm, Spain, where they will compete in one of Europe’s top youth football tournaments. The trip forms part of the academy’s broader mission to provide international exposure and foster both the technical and personal development of its young athletes.

This group has already established itself as one of the academy’s most successful units, having claimed victory in every overseas tournament they've entered to date—including the Springs Holiday Cup in Florida.

Their most notable achievement came last year when Ballaz made history by becoming the first and only Jamaican team to win a title in the prestigious Gold ‘A’ category at the Target USA Cup in Minnesota.

Academy directors are optimistic that this latest opportunity in Spain will continue to challenge the team and sharpen their skills on and off the field. The tournament also presents a valuable cultural exchange, as players will face top-tier European competition while representing Jamaica on the international stage.
