868 NEW CASES, 8 COVID 19 FATALITIES – SEPTEMBER 3, 2021

The Ministry of Health and Wellness is reporting 8 more COVID-19 fatalities have been recorded in Jamaica.

The deaths were recorded in Kingston and St Andrew, St Elizabeth, St Catherine, St James and Clarendon in persons between the ages of 39 and 88 years old.

And eight more fatalities are under investigation, moving that figure to 181.

In the meantime, there were 868 new cases with ages ranging from 22 days to 98 years

St Catherine recorded 255 of those cases while there were 153 in Kingston and St Andrew.

Some 724 persons are in hospital with 200 being moderately ill, 117 severely ill, and 50 critically ill.
