This is the same number of murders recorded in the corresponding period last year
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, St. Andrew South recorded the highest number of murders with 72, followed by St. James with 69.
St. Mary recorded the least number of murders with 3, followed by Portland with 5 and Trelawny, 6.
Meanwhile, shootings increased by 14, from 475 to 489
