According to the recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the rapper’s first album, excecutively produced by Eminem and Dr. Dre, is now considered a 9 times multi-platinum project. The album debut in 2003 with hits like “In Da Club, P.I.M.P and 21 Questions.
If the 44-year-old attains 1 million more in album sales, he will reach the coveted diamond status.
Only a few rappers have managed to reach Diamond status – Eminem with “The Marshall Mathers LP” and “The Eminem Show”; Outkast 2003 epic “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below”; Nelly’s “Country Grammar”;s 2Pac’s masterpiece “All Eyez On Me” and the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Life After Death”.
