Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has announced that 216,207 applicants will receive disbursements totalling over $4.3 billion in November under the Government’s Reverse Income Tax Credit (RITC) initiative.
This program is aimed at providing financial relief to individuals earning less than $3 million annually, with eligible taxpayers receiving a one-time payment of $20,000.
As a result, the total number of individuals benefiting from the tax give back has now reached 290,912, with a total payout of $5.8 billion.
The latest disbursements, scheduled between November 25–29, will include payments to National Commercial Bank and Scotia Bank customers who previously experienced delays.
