The Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information has allocated more than $319 million to rehabilitate Knox College following damage caused by Hurricane Melissa.

The funds will support repairs to classroom blocks, boarders' hostels and electrical systems through the National Education Trust.

Speaking at the school's 2026 graduation ceremony, State Minister Rhoda Moy Crawford said work is expected to begin during the summer holidays.

The October 2025 hurricane caused extensive structural and electrical damage, forcing the temporary closure of the campus.
