280 NEW COVID-19 CASES

Jamaica has recorded 280 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the country’s case count, to 141, 306.

Of the new cases 157 are females, and 123 are males.

They range in age from 1 day to 108 years.

Kingston and St. Andrew recorded the highest number of cases with 83 followed by St. James with 46 and St. Catherine with 43.

The positivity rate is 24.5 per cent.

Meanwhile, 123 people are hospitalized with the virus, among them 34 are moderately ill, 12 are severely ill and 4 are critically ill.

201 more people have recovered from the virus.
