Last night, the 2022 Billboard Music Awards were held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and hosted by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

The Weeknd led this year’s nominations with 17 nominations and Doja Cat with 14 nominations. Mary J. Blige was honoured with the coveted Billboard Icon Award to celebrate her decades-long success as a musician.

Drake copped the award for ‘Top Artist’ and ‘Top Male Artist’, Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Male Artist’. Olivia Rodrigo took home 7 awards, ‘Top New Artist’, ‘Top Female Artist’, ‘Top Hot 100 Artist’, ‘Top Streaming Songs Artist’, ‘Top Radio Songs Artist’, Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Billboard Global 200 Artist’.

Taylor reclaimed her title as ‘Top Country Artist’ a status that she has not had since 2013, also winning ‘Top Billboard 200 Artist’ for the fifth time and ‘Top Country Album’. Ye took home a total of six awards the most achieved by a male artist this year.

Meg The Stallion took home the award for ‘Top Rap Female Artist’
