It has been 25 years since 2Pac released his third album ‘Me against the world’. The album broke new ground for the rapper for several reasons.
‘Me against the world’ was his first number one album, his first multi platinum album and it also contained his first top 10 and multi platinum single ‘Dear Mama’.
The album was also the first in music history to hit number one while the artiste was in jail. ‘Dear Mama’ also earned a Grammy nomination for best rap solo performance, while ‘Me against the world’ was nominated for best rap album and to date, it has sold over three million copies.
