1,700 cruise passengers expected in Ocho Rios today


The resort town of Ocho Rios is expected to be abuzz with tourism related activities, as it welcomes the Carnival Sunrise on Monday, with some 1,700 cruise passengers.

This will be the third cruise ship arrival since the reopening of cruise tourism in August.

Senior advisor and strategist in the ministry of tourism, Delano Seiveright said Tourism workers need this economic lifeline.

He noted that passengers have been fully vaccinated except for a few children.
