17 Additional COVID cases at Golden Age Home

Seventeen additional cases of COVID-19 have been detected at Golden Age Home in Vineyard Town, St. Andrew.
Sixteen employees and one resident have tested positive for the virus.
The Ministry of Health said 304 samples were taken for testing from the home on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health reported that 43 residents and three staff members had tested positive for the respiratory illness.
In an update Wednesday night, Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton, said those 46 patients were stable with no symptoms.
The South East Regional Health Authority will conduct training sessions in infection prevention and control on Thursday and Friday at Golden Age Home.
