Hon. Desmond McKenzie, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, has stated that $11 million will be spent to restore a section of the May Day Main Road in the Manchester Central constituency’s Knock-patrick Division.

The road has been severely damaged by water runoff from an adjoining hillside.

Some interim flood-relief measures had been implemented, but the monies will be utilized to implement a more long-term solution.

He also addressed the Metropolitan Police Department, with whom the merchants claim to have difficulties.
