The Energy Ministry is down playing any suggestion that there is an impending shutdown of Jamaica's Petroleum sector.
In a statement Tuesday evening, the Ministry revealed that on Monday, Portfolio Minister Phillip Paulwell, held a scheduled meeting with Petroleum Industry stakeholders.
These included executives of the Jamaica Gasoline Retailers Association, officials of the Energy Ministry and representatives of the National Workers Union NWU, which represents tanker drivers and petroleum haulage contractors.
