PEPSI JAMAICA WANTS TO DEVELOP ITS OWN ENERGY PLANT

Pepsi Jamaica is planning to develop its own energy plant, based on renewable energy source, following a rise of 25 percent in its energy costs.
Minister of Industry Investment and Commerce Anthony Hilton made the announcement at the launch of a partnership of Pepsi Jamaica and Ocean Spray Cranberry Juices in Kingston yesterday.
The Minister said that in the past few years, Pepsi's energy cost had risen by 25 percent, making an annual bill of 2 hundred and 20 million Jamaican dollars.
