Missy Elliott releases two comeback singles today.

The rapper's first new songs since 2005, 'Triple Threat' and '9th Inning', were both produced by Timbaland and mark her return as a solo artist after being diagnosed with thyroid disorder Graves' disease last year.

Missy will also release a new album, tentatively titled 'Block Party', later this year.

The star has also distanced herself from a project to posthumously release tracks by singer Aaliyah, whom she and Timbaland worked closely with before her death in a plane crash in 2001.
