Three Victims of the Colorado cinema massacre have filed a lawsuit accusing theater bosses of negligence. The victims are alleging that the theater should have been equipped with an alarm system which could have stopped Holmes allegedly propping open a fire exit to get guns from his car. They also claim the cinema should have been given heightened security for the midnight screening.

Denise Traynom, Brandon Axelrod and Joshua Nowlan filed federal lawsuits demanding $750,000 US dollars each in damages. The cinema has been closed since the atrocity, but is set to reopen early next year.
