Jamaica’s National senior footballers produced a historic win yesterday over Costa Rica, to move a step closer to booking a spot in the semi final of the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Football Championships.

They recorded a 1-nil win over their Group B rivals at the H-E-B Park in Texas, when Khadijah Shaw scored the all-important goal in the 46th minute

The reggae girls moved into second place in the standings, behind group b’ leaders Canada who crushed the hapless Cuba 12 nil.

Jamaica will wrap up the group stage of the tournament on Thursday, when they face Cuba, while Canada will clash with Costa Rica.
