Prime Minister Andrew Holness has again sought to defend the work being done by the urban development corporation, UDC , as well as government’s plans for the redevelopment of Down Town Kingston and the construction of a new parliament building.

The controversial matter has plagued the UDC in recent months, with residents of some affected communities in the Down Town Kingston, complaining that they were not consulted.

Local architects had also raised concern that the process was flawed, in that government appeared to be making plans before having discussions with local experts.

Mr Holness sought to assure that adequate information and consolations were conducted.
