Mavado is no longer signed to VP Records!
According to the Artiste’s manager, Julian Jones-Griffith, who made the announcement via Twitter.com, the deal has been terminated.
Reports are that the split between the ‘Gully Gad’ and the number one reggae record label was a mutual decision.
The contract with VP Records was terminated on March 1bute saw Mavado completing only two albums ('Gangsta For Life - The Symphony of David Brooks (2007)' and 'Mr Brooks - A Better Tomorrow (2009))' of the three year, three album deal he inked with the company in 2006.
The Singjay now looks to release collaborations featuring rappers Young Jeezy, Drake and Lil Jon for his new album, while VP records looks to release Gyptian’s digital single “Hold Yuh” on March 23, and a three song EP by Romain Virgo namely ‘This Is Love’, ‘Alton’s Medley’ and ‘Who Feels It Knows It.’
